University-based Community Action Research for increasing viability of cereal-legume value chains towards improved nutrition and livelihoods in sub-Sahara Africa

Main project objectives are improve sustainable food production vs reducing soil degradation, and improving FNS at household and community level, in Kenya and Uganda.


Tasks:

  • Increase resilience of farming systems and food production

  • Development of ready-to-use suplementary foods(RTUFS

  • Strenghtening of local-nutrition sensitive chains

  • Capacity building of local innovation systems & MSc and PhD students

  • A tranversal focus on gender accesion to benefits from project outputs.
