SAFERMOZ

Safety and quality of traditional street food and fermented food in MozambiqueSAFERMOZ

Street food provides a cheap source of nourishment but, despite contributing to the household economy, may be a focus of contamination by pathogenic bacteria, parasites and fungi. Another major concern for public health is also related with the emerging antibiotic resistance, namely to beta-lactams. The implementation of the project will promote access to safe and nutritious food based on health-promoting eating practices that respect cultural diversity and are environmentally sustainable.
